About Optimus Physio

Clinical experience
I’m a musculoskeletal physiotherapist with 20+ years of clinical experience across New Zealand, Australia and the UK. My background spans private practice and sports teams, supporting people through injury, rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery and return to activity, working with a wide range of patients and conditions along the way.
Over the years I’ve developed an approach that goes beyond temporary fixes. That means focusing on your goals, making decisions together, and building the kind of strength and confidence that lasts long after treatment ends. All of that experience goes into helping people get back to doing what they love, whether that’s sport, work, or simply keeping up with daily life.
Approach
Physiotherapy should help you understand what is going on, build confidence in your body and progress safely towards your goals.
Treatment is practical and individual. It may include hands-on therapy, massage, movement assessment, pain management advice and progressive exercise prescription, depending on what you need.
Experience
Clinical experience across New Zealand, Australia and the UK, working with a wide range of patients and conditions.
Focus
Support for pain, injury recovery, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports rehab and return to activity.
Goal
Helping people build confidence, strength and function so they can return to the things they love.
Practising what I preach
Outside of work I maintain an active training routine built around calisthenics, weights, gymnastic rings, bars and parallettes.
It’s a personal reminder of something I believe firmly: that practical, sustainable strength is achievable at any stage of life, not just for elite athletes or the very young.
What this means for patients
The aim is not just to treat a painful area, but to help you move better, understand your body and build the capacity needed for work, training, sport and daily life.
